This was my daughter's 1st year attending Corky Bell in Fairfield. We had left another dance studio because I thought that Corky Bell had a higher standard set for their dancers based on their illustrious 30+ years in the business. However, this is FAR from the dance studio that I danced for many years ago. I really wish I could give this place a half a star because 1 is too much!!! Our kids in the Hip Hop 1 class have not had a full 45 - minute session the entire dance year! They've had 25 minutes, max, each week and we've paid for FULL class time! They've had a MINIMUM of 5 revolving teachers and NONE OF THE HAVE BEEN ON TIME. It's as if our kids don't matter! And they wonder why 2 weeks before the recital our kids only have a less than a minute dance to show for coming to class ALL YEAR!! Outrageous!! They wouldn't have even addressed the issue until a couple of us parents complained about the length of the dance. They had to rush and add another 3 hour rehearsal of some sorry, amateur steps that maybe add an additional 40 seconds to the dance of which 10 second so of that is laying on the floor not even moving! But we're supposed to be happy with that? Please! You think you're doing us a favor of giving us something we paid for anyway? In addition, the unprofessional, uncool and inappropriate office manager lacks the temperament and personality to be around any body's kids! With her boots shorts and chain smoking in front of the impressionable kids. Role model? HA!!! They truly need to shut this raggedy, broken down, unorganized, unprofessional, waste of time "dance" school down and put it out of its misery. In case I haven't made myself clear: I Would NOT recommend Corky Bell Fairfield to a dog on the street!

This is my daughter's first time dancing with Corky Bell, since preschool. The entire experience has been a DISASTER!!!! We've gone through three teachers in Hip Hop I, since September of 2014. The entire time none of the teachers have been on time. The class is supposed to start at 5:45pm and end at 6:30 once a week. These instructors have been arriving 15-20 minutes late. One instructor had the nerve to show up at 6:20pm and never even apologized for his tardiness. I can understand things happen every now and then but every class and then has the nerve to dismiss the children 5 minutes early. I wouldn't complain if instructors are late but make up the time. These children have been cheated and us parents have been robbed like a thief in the night. I'm so very disappointed in how things have been handled this entire dance year 2014-2015 at the Fairfield location. Our children's dance is only 30 seconds long for recital on 5/16/15 at 7pm and we've been paying $50.00 a month for service, on top of a $65.00 recital fee, since September. If you think I'm exaggerating, come to the show. We purchased sweats suits and t-shirts that our children was supposed to wear in a parade that never occurred. Our children have not been treated fairly. I've been told that the other locations have received 10 times better service. You can only assume its because this studio is predominately Black children and families in a predominately BLACK neighborhood. I believe we all rightfully deserve half of our monies reimbursed. This entire program is a disgrace and its not fair to our children or us parents. I myself, have complained and all I've gotten is a sorry apology, which isn't enough. I'm going to report this studio to whomever will listen: FOX6, Better Business Bureau etc.
