What originally started as friendly and caring facility with great instruction, The Clubhouse has become a toxic place for players and instructors alike. They no longer have interest in developing players; instead they focus on making money, winning and favoritism. If you want a spot on a team, they'll gladly take your money - not before insisting on a myriad of additional clinics and lessons. If you're friends with the owners, your child will play. And if your child is not a favorite they will quickly get benched and berated. In addition, the owners' egos are so big they have no interest in even acknowledging you. The best you'll get is blank stare from Mike and a nasty look from Kristen. If you like to waste money and make your child feel bad about themselves, this is the place for you.

Lots of employee turnover at The Clubhouse. All but one of the best coaches have resigned and gone elsewhere - and the one quality coach who is still there does not coach a team. It certainly appears the remaining team coaches engage in a "pay to play" strategy - pay the coach for lessons and your son will get a chance to play. It shouldn't be a surprise but that strategy doesn't seem to be working as most of The Clubhouse teams are barely .500. Given the high employee turnover and lack of success on the field, it's pretty obvious management doesn't know what they are doing. Further, management seems to treat their coaches poorly. Not a good business strategy. Do your homework as there are several options in the area with better coaching and team play.

The Clubhouse has really gone down hill in the last couple of years. The only 2 good coaches have now left out of frustration with the management. My son played on a team for them this spring and had a coach who was completely inappropriate. He chewed tobacco in front of the kids on a daily basis, routinely dropped F bombs in front of the kids, yelled at umpires and told stories about how he when he was in college he paid other students to do his homework and then got kicked out for bad grades. It was hard to believe we were paying the Clubhouse for him to coach our middle school aged son. People who are being paid to coach young kids should have some training on how to teach and how to be appropriate around kids, not just have baseball knowledge. The Clubhouse also does not care about player development, they only care about winning. They roster 13 kids per team at a very expensive price, but only play their favorite 9 kids for all innings of all games. This philosophy starts at the top with the owner of the Clubhouse.
