Love This Facility!

We recently moved to Maine from another state and transferred to the fairfield area after six months in this state. Since our relocation, our 3rd son was on the wait list for our towns preschool program. He is a VERY active 5 year old boy (Missing the Kindergarten cutoff by 3 weeks) with 3 brothers! After almost 4 months of waiting for a in town placement, we realized with Kindergarten in his immediate future, he needed social, academic and a more structured environment. After many options, we placed him at All About Me!

3 Mornings a week at a reasonable rate! The Teachers have been attentive, fun and very personable! They are flexible and very willing to communicate! Our son loves It!

Its only been two weeks and thus far, Its been the best decision we have made in along time! Our son looks forward to going and has lots to say when picked up!

This center offers a warm atmosphere, smiles and lots of fun!

Do not send your child here if they need attention or cannot lay still and quiet for an hour. My child was kicked out because she acted out for attention while at this school and they could not handle a typically defiant 3-4 year old. While her behavior remained the same and improved at home, things got worse at this school. They turned a kid that was described to me as "such a good girl" or "you are so lucky to have so well behaved a child" into a bad kid. She was great before she started--normal level of independence and trouble at home and perfect with others. She now knows how to play people against each other and how to misbehave to get attention. 2-3 staff members is not enough for 14-20 kids and a handicapped child. Their afternoon activities include laying still and perfectly quiet from the end of lunch until 2, then play until 3, then watch a movie. Not active enough for this age. Feedback was too little too late to allow me to fix the issue. They did not contact me until this was a big problem. It was a month before I heard from them again and they then threatened to kick her out. No feedback in between. I had to pull teeth to get information from them and they did not tell my husband anything was going on when he picked her up--even on days they called me. Almost immediately, they switched over to calling me leave work early to pick her up because she was being disruptive. Their discipline includes sitting a child at a table with crayons and paper and complaining to a parent when a child "makes bad decisions" and colors on the table in full view of the staff (and is not stopped by said staff). They do not teach the kids proper behavior, they just let 3-5 year olds make mistakes and then get frustrated when they misbehave. Finally, they will kick normal kids out for the behavior they created and they gave me 1 hours notice.



If your child behaves perfectly, naps well with others close by and does will with little one on one attention, then this school is for you. Otherwise, don't send them here. But, beware, I thought my child fit that description when she started.
