Well, we haven’t purchased a fireplace yet. We are still reviewing all the options and brands. But at this stage I just wanted to say that the owner, Joel, was fantastic. He explained all sorts of info to me that I had no idea about doing research on the Internet. Excellent customer service from Joel! Hopefully we will also purchase our fireplace from him.

I am surprised by the earlier reviews. We had a gas fireplace installed this past week and we are very satisfied with both the product and service.

The store, itself, has an impressive selection and the person who came to install it was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

On installation day, they did arrive late. However, they notified us of this so it was fine. Things happen.

We couldn't be happier with our new fireplace.

I would definitely recommend them!

I just had my gas fireplace installed by Fireplace Place last week (week of May 8, 2017). I converted my wood burning fireplace to a gas inserts natural vent fireplace. Joel was extremely helpful and made my experience a hassle free one. I am baffled reading the other reviews which is diametrically opposite to my experience. Taz was my technical person who came to install the fireplace. He came three times to my home just to help my contractor with building the hearth base and the surround for the fireplace. He patiently explained how to build the surround. He was so courteous and extremely helpful. He even sorted out the permits and inspections. All in all.. soup to nuts they took care of everything for me. From the time I ordered the fireplace to the time it was installed, it was less than two weeks.
Joel called me this evening to just follow-up and to make sure that I was good with the installation and if I needed anything else from them.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE OTHER REVIEWS. I AM SITTING HERE TODAY ONCE AGAIN WAITING FOR THE INSTALLERS TO SHOW UP. THEY ARE THREE HOURS LATE NO CALL. WE WERE TOLD THE FIREPLACE INSERTS WOULD TAKE A DAY TO INSTALL, THAT WAS IN SEPTEMBER AND WE ARE NOW GOING INTO FEBRUARY AND THE UNITS ARE ONLY HALF INSTALLED. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR WILL FLAT OUT LIE TO YOU. THEY ARE GOOD WITH TAKING YOUR MONEY SO IF YOU DO USE THEM, DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU HAVE HAD THE FINAL INSPECTION.

Had site visit and permit in october. set up first install the day before Thanksgiving (no show), I called them and they said blackfriday they would do the install (again no show). called back and spoke with Joel and Mike promised to make it right and arranged another install. this time the guy showed, did not go on the roof to do the liner saying it is overkill and not needed (what do I know), then slid the insert in and said it wouldn't fit (but they measured and selected the unit). they left the unit and I selected a second unit that they recommended. second install visit still can't make the connection they say my fireplace is offset. I called the manager again, they have a solution with install, I arrange again for another visit (seeing a theme here), they called 15 minutes before install saying it will not work and we need to discuss other options. My other option is to look elsewhere. By the way I guess they have never heard of offset adapter for my chimney (why do I know more than them by google than they do) STAY FAR AWAY

Very Unhappy

I bought a fireplace insert from The Fireplace Place. They were very helpful before and during the sale. After the sale and waiting for the installation, they wanted nothing to do with me. Phone calls to the store resulted in transfer after transfer, with no satisfaction.



I wanted the chimney lined all the way to the top of chimney and I paid for that. The crew did not show-up with the correct parts and only put the minimum liner in. I did get a credit for the missing parts.



The stove does not perform as expected and a recent visit to the store to discuss the problems, showed the same lack of service. Once they realized I did not want to make a purchase, they didn’t want to talk to me. They also didn’t seem to know anything about the insert they sold me.



Don’t be fooled by how you are treated when you are looking to make a purchase – I was. I will never shop in this store again and have told anyone I know not to shop there either.
