Provided by YPmobileI purchased a dog from pet plus natural of fairless hills pa on January 10th, 2015 on that day the pet store advised me that the puppy had a cold and was on an "antibiotic". She costed $1200. my pup wouldn't eat, same for Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon, I came home during my lunch break and my puppy was still refusing to eat or drink and also vomitted. I called the vet, that the pet store recommended Makefield Vet, yardley pa, made an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday morning my puppy still was refusing to eat or drink, still vomiting, with diarrhea and she was weak. Makefield Vet., diagnosed her with the same cold and prescribed her two pills, one was an antibiotic and the other was something to help the digestive system. They also gave her to shots, one was fluid to help prevent dehydration and the other was to help her digestive system. He advised me that i may have to force the medicine in her. The total bill was $255. Thursday morning, my puppy was worst, it seemed her stool had blood in it! I called the Makefield vet, received no answer, left two voice mails expressing my concerns, til this day I haven't received a call back. Thursday, I called a vet that I used in the past for a previous dog. I explained the symptoms and she was able to see me last minute, once arriving the staff immediately put me and my puppy in a room by ourselves. Within 15 mins, with one simple test the vet advised me that my pup had a life threatening disease called parvo. She advised me to call the pet store because it takes 7-14 days for a positive parvo result, so the pet store sold me a sick puppy. (I had her for 5 days) she also advised me that the procedure is very costly and not guaranteed, if my puppy wasn't admitted that night she would die. I immediately call the pet store and was told the manager was off that day and this would have to wait until 9 am the next morning. I explained the urgency of the situation to the staff and was promised a call back soon. I waited for an hour, no call back. My husband and I decided we will go there to get answers we needed, on the way there a "manager" calls me back. He states that we have to wait, I explain to him that I have young children at home and that I was in fear that I would wake up the next day to a dead puppy because they sold me a fatally I'll puppy and this was not an option, he hung up on me. He called back telling me if we come to the store, he would call the cops. Once we arrive to the pet store, he gets in my husband's face, suggest that they go outside to handle this and warns that he has a black belt. The situation was diffused a little, he agrees to return our money. Instead of completing a refund transaction, the staff member completed a sales transaction and my account was charged again! Finally the staff, refunded the cost of the puppy twice. We went back to the establishment me on Friday, to speak to the other manager. Told him that there vet misdiagnosed our puppy and still hasn't returned our calls. They weren't taking the proper precautions and sanitizing the property. My vet told me, that parvo is highly contagious in dogs. So contagious, she refused me use of her phone because the parvo disease could be transferred from her staff to the animals. After returning home I decided to look at both the pet store and vet's online reviews, yes some were good but there were two that stood out to me. The pet store has went thru this before, selling a puppy with parvo to someone and the puppy died. The vet, also didn't return calls to another patient and dog also died. This being said, I think both establishments need to be shut down and exposed.

Provided by YP.comI feel so sorry for all those puppy mill dogs they sell for outrageous prices. If any other store carried my dog's Verus food and my rabbit's Zupreem, I would be going there and never set foot in here.

Provided by YP.comThis is a great store. The staff did a great job asking me if I needed help and assisting me when I actually needed it. The shelves were fully stocked and the cashiers seemed happy to be working there. Overall, I would shop here again when I run out of my pet supplies.

Provided by YP.comI went to Pets Plus so I could pick up some food form my dog and noticed they have a huge supply of dog handling and training books. One of the great employees there helped me understand how dogs tell owners what they need by their actions and he gave me some great tips on training my dog. I recommend people go there who are new to owning any kind of pet because the people at Pets Plus know what they are talking about.

Provided by YP.comGreat customer service would sum up my experience at Pets Plus. The cashier was very friendly to me and each employee stopped to ask me if I had any questions. I really appreciate that kind of thing in a store and I'm sure other people do as well.

Provided by YP.comThe employees here know about animals and don't try to force you to buy anything. I always hated that about retail stores. They make sure you get exactly what you need.

Provided by YP.comThis place reeks of greatness. I wouldn’t recommend that you go anywhere else. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it at all except that I wish we had one closer to where I live in Levittown!!
