Pontiac-William Holliday School District 105 serves more than 700 students in prekintergarden through grade 12 through its William. Holliday Elementary, Pontiac Junior High and Belleville East High schools. Located in Fairview Heights, Ill., the school district was founded in 1861. The school district offers a wide range of subjects, including arts, business, computers, English, science and social studies. It has an engineering technology department that offers various courses, such as basic drafting, and woods and auto technology to students in grades nine through 12. The Pontiac-Wm. Holliday District 105 is a member of the Illinois Association of School Boards, Belleville Area Special Services Cooperative, the Illinois Grade School Music Association and the Belle-Fair Conference. The school district has an experienced staff, including more than 50 certified employees and over 30 support staff to provide services to the students.
