I left my ex June of 22 because he is abusive and I kept telling him I wanted to leave him because my daughter Stella who is autistic did not need to see her mother and father fighting constantly but he did not want me to leave and kept asking me to marry him. I finally left him. Around august I filed for child support. Then he filed for full custody. We went to court in October and he got temporary full custody because I didn’t have my own home or job. I stayed with my brother after I left and adam did not like that. I hired Shawn in January of 23 and paid him 2500 already and he hasn’t helped me one bit. We haven’t even been to court and he already wants to charge me 2200$ extra and nothing has been done for me to get my daughter back. I don’t know who her babysitter is I don’t know if she’s going to therapy appointments for her autism, I don’t know anything and only get her 2 days out of the week. This has been going on too long and Shawn Sirgo hasn’t helped one bit. If anything he has caused more problems. I requested a drug test for Adam because I know that he smokes a lot and even smokes inside the house around stella. Shawn told his lawyer and his lawyer told him about a drug test when I wanted to wait until the court date.. (which never happened) (was pushed back for the 3rd time). He told me that weed doesn’t matter that adam could go get a drink from a gas station and pass the drug test. Every time we had court Shawn would message me two days before and say that something else needed to be established before court… TWO DAYS BEFORE!! Each time. Shawn doesn’t answer my emails or phone calls. And when he does he says there is nothing that needs to be answered. I am confused and would like my LAWYER to help me better understand the situation. I think he is taking advantage of me. I’m young, I’m 25. Shawn Sirgo is a horrible lawyer and he does not need to have his license.
