When I bought our beloved Golden from Michelle in 2010, he was so full of life. About 3 days later her started going bold on his face and bottom. We took him into the vet and he was diagnosed with mange. Now at the age of 5 almost 6, he is starting to loose his fur again and has stopped eating. Which has caused him to loose more than half his body weight. This place disgusts me and I wish I knew then what I knew now. I hope people stop buyers no from her. She should have been shut down years ago.

BUYER BEWARE at Golden Acres in Fallon. We purchased an AKC Male Golden from Michaele Atkinson in June 2014. When we picked him up she had just bathed him telling us he had some puppy dander. As time passed it got progressively worse to the point our vet did a biopsy. Then we were sent to an animal dermatology specialist. Many hundreds of dollars later, he was diagnosed with Iccthyosis. This is a GENETIC DEFECT - inherited disease from the breeder's dogs and is not curable. The doctor stated that the breeding that produced him should not be repeated. Zero stars.

Beware!!!

She runs a dog mill. My dog is now 7 months and has ongoing issues. Her house is filled with dogs, not a good environment. Over breeding and it's disgusting. They should shut her down!!Do not buy from her. You will spend more money on vet bills and go through more emotional trauma buying from golden acres. Save your money for a healthy puppy.

I bought a puppy on 11.13.11 and after getting home we discovered it was very sick with giardia. Now at the age of 2.5 she was diagnosed with Congenital Renal Dysplasia and will not live passed the age of 5. Golden Acres is refusing to acknowledge that her dogs carry this genetic trait. Please don't support this breeder.

Buyer Beware!!!!!

This is not a reputable or responsible breeder. This place is one step above a puppy mill. I have several friends who bought puppies from Golden Acres and they have come home sick with worms, mange, and giardia. Also there are known genetic disorders that she is uneducated about and will not take responsibility for. If you still want to buy a puppy from her after reading this. Open your wallet and get a good vet. There is an open investigation from the state and local law enforcement agencies regarding her unsafe and irresponsible breeding practices. The breeder will administer shoots only when you come to pick the dog up and inform you that you need to feed them green beans and cottage cheese if they get sick. She will claim that every puppy has seen the vet. Demand prof. She is the epitome of backyard breeding at its finest. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BREEDER.
