My house phone got disconnected and there was no dial tone for almost a week. I have two children, ages 9 and 11 and they were not able to contact me as they always do upon arriving home safely from school. Every day I contacted Verizon to solve this problem and every day they insisted the problem would be corrected tomorrow. The end result was after demanding to speak with a supervisor, there was a problem in the computer system with Verizon and it was their own fault my service got disconnected. Please don't hesitate to search other suitable phone companies to receive better customer service.
