Weldon E. Howitt Middle School is located in Farmingdale, N.Y. The school offers a variety of academic, personal and social skill programs to students in grades six through eight. It operates guidance, mathematics, social studies, science, special education and technology departments. The school s curriculum also includes business, English, language arts, speech, fine arts, foreign languages and physical education. It employs psychologists, guidance counselors, social workers, speech therapists, athletic directors, library media specialists and nurses. The school organizes special events and activities, such as a rewards incentive program, Halloween costume day, parties, spectator events, concerts, plays and field trips.
