Anyone looking for new windows? Just want to share our great experience with Mark from 21st century window! We needed windows throughout our house, and as anyone knows that’s priced windows…they are crazy expensive!! But after several different price quotes from the well known window companies…a friend of ours referred us to Mark. He came over and quoted us for much less, plus they are better windows than the other offers!Mark has been doing windows for many, many years, and he is knowledgeable, professional, and also an extremely nice guy! Also, he is local in Farmington hills, and that’s a plus to support our local businesses! I cannot say enough great things about our experience with him! Please if you’re considering buying windows, at least talk to him and get a quote! You won’t be disappointed!

Beware of hiring MARK TEUFEL /21st Century Window because of his BAD WORKMANSHIP AND A BREACH OF CONTRACT.
April 2014: roof was damaged by hail, and he came to put a new roof on. March 2015: 1st leaks in kitchen, living room & bedroom. Mark just repainted the drywall & injected insulation over 1 part of the roof (now we believe that it prevents proper air flow).
January 2018: we noticed leaks in the same areas that were supposed to have been fixed by Mark. Now we need a repeat paint job. In the attic we found dripping nails, soaked particleboard, and ruined insulation from rust and wetness. All of this damage should not have been there if Mark properly fixed the roof in the first place. Mark blamed insufficient insulation and wrongly installed baffles, but why didn’t he say anything about that when he first put the new roof on in 2014? When we asked him this question in January, he said he was not required to fix any insulation or baffles as per the insurance moneys. We found this strange, especially since a professional roofer wouldn’t let something important like that affect his final product. His quick fix for this time was to cover the ridge vent with a green plastic tarp.
We finally got 2nd opinions from 4 companies agreed that Mark’s work was done poorly:
1 area of siding was completely missing.
Missing flashing around chimney, and between house & roof peaks (bats/mice).
Garage ridge vent was peeling off due to nails not being of proper length.
Breach of contract: our insurance moneys included replaced gutters, sky lights etc. Mark’s roofing quote amount matched the insurance quote, but his contract didn’t specify that he was to replace them. We believe he expected us to not understand the insurance documents. We also believe he overstated the cost of replacing the roof to match the money from the insurance company. This is all unacceptable since he was paid to fix the roof with insurance moneys; instead, we got more damages to deal with.
