"TWO YEARS VERSUS TEN", that's what the overwhelming majority of students say about Greg Edmond's teaching technique. Like painting by numbers with a master artist, Greg Edmond simplifies the approach to learning to play the piano, which can be quite an intimidating instrument, while offering his students the chance to create master works on the keys. Students are encouraged to become great sight readers/improvisers while developing a repertoire of memorized pieces all of which showcase the student's learned precision and fostered passion. If it takes watching a few great pianists on you tube to round out a student's understanding of the amazing musical opportunities in the world of piano, Greg has the technology at hand and will use it to broaden his student's musical journey. Greg's warmth and structure during lessons coupled with his mastery of chords, scales, and their relationships gives his students a chance to unwrap their own musical gifts that can last a lifetime.

Provided by YP.comI've taken lessons from Greg for almost eight years now. After a year's worth of unsatisfactory lessons from a nearby music store, I switched to Greg at the age of 6. I progressed incredibly quick, and it wasn't long before I was proudly performing for my family and friends. The professionalism and patience he demonstrates creates an ideal learning envirnoment, one in which I look forward to visiting weekly. Less than eight years of his teaching has brought me two blue ribbons (top honors) at Michigan's Solo & Ensemble competition, and a weekly gig at an upscale local restaurant. These are achievements I am very thankful for, and will take me very far in life. I can confidently say that Greg's teachings are best you will find! If you are looking to accel as a pianist and musician, look no further!

Provided by YP.comGreg Edmond is a professional with a great teaching style and sense of humor. He really made an impact on me because he opened my eyes to the world of Jazz and music improvisation. Now I'm a professional pianist who plays for many events and my confidence comes from Greg's teachings. This guy is the real deal.

Provided by YP.comMy daughter, Katie, began playing the piano two years ago. After going through two teachers, I was not happy with the progress that she was making. I did some online research and subsequently found Greg. By the very first lesson, I knew that we had found the answer to our search!
As a former elementary school educator myself, I can spot a good teacher a mile away. Just because someone knows how to play the piano does not mean that they can teach! There are no such worries with Greg. He is the perfect combination of talented musician, knowledgeable musical historian, and gifted teacher who truly cares about my daughter.
Greg has a knack for taking challenging piano pieces and breaking them into manageable chunks in order to keep the child from feeling overwhelmed. His original arrangements of pieces make our daughter feel that she is doing something truly special. He encourages her to express herself creatively, to make pieces her own, to compose and improvise as appropriate. He has high expectations but always with a smile and a charming demeanor that makes my daughter want to please him. I wish we could afford to have a lesson with Greg every day!
In short, if you are looking for the highest quality piano education, Greg Edmond is worth every penny. His is instruction that you cannot find in your local Teacher-in-a-Box piano store or well-meaning yet uneducated teenage teacher. This is customized instruction that will pay dividends for a lifetime. Stop right now and give him a call. I give him my highest recommendation!

Provided by YP.comI have always wanted to learn how to play the piano and finally decided to pursue my dreams now that children are raised. I have been trying to find the right instructor for over a year. I was not happy with my first 2 piano instructors. Their teaching technique was boring and their knowledge of music was limited. My third try, I discovered Greg Edmond, he is exceptionally talented and an excellent instructor. I have learned more from Mr. Edmond in the last few months then I had from my previous two instructors and over a year of my time. If I am willing to devote my precious time into learning something, I want to learn from the best. Mr. Edmond has been teaching for over 30 years, he is the best.
