Don't waste your time! First time customer - I scheduled a noon appointment for a manicure/pedicure. I arrived right at noon and was told that the technician wasn't there yet, but would be shortly. Around 12:25, I approached the girl at the front desk and asked how long it was going to be. She told me that the technician still wasn't there, but she would call her to find out how long she would be. No answer, so she texted the technician. The technician replied that she wasn't feeling well and that she wouldn't be in. The girl at the front desk then told me that the technician claimed she had left a voicemail, but they hadn't finished checking their voicemail that day. Then she asked if I wanted to reschedule. Uh, no. I definitely won't be going there again!

This salon was so wonderful 7 or so years ago when they opened. The staff was friendly and fun. Since then I had moved and wanted to come back to a place I trusted, so I visited them recently. I saw the top colorist/stylist (my previous hair stylist had moved elsewhere, GOOD FOR HER!!!! bad for me), which means extra cost. Not only did she work incessantly to sell me a bunch of unnecessary product, she insulted my intelligence by stating that their no-ammonia hair color was somehow better for your hair? Hair color is a science - if they are not using ammonia, there's another chemical in the formulation that is probably that is inferior, if not WORSE for your hair's integrity. Hair color has been more or less the same for 20+ years...for a reason. Its a marketing ploy to trick you in to thinking you are getting more for your money. I am a chemist and when I called her out on it, she fumbled all over her words and then finally said "you know too much". If that's not a reason not to go there, I dont know WHAT is. Go to a salon that uses tried-and-true products, not the Eufora garbage they use. Going to get your hair done should be about relaxing, feeling pampered and enjoying yourself. I felt hassled, ripped off, annoyed and wasn't even happy with my hair color result. Please don't waste your time/money like I did.

I just love the Studio for Hair. I get my hair cut and colored there. They use special no-amonia color so my eyes don't sting and my hair stays soft and healthy. My Hair Stylist is Simone, but everyone there is wonderful. Tasha is the owner and she makes sure that everyone's experience is fantastic. This is the salon to go to.

You will not regret trying the Studio. I love being a client there because I leave looking great and the cut is always so good that styling it myself so that I can keep looking great is really easy! I see Jeannie -- she's amazing. She's a color expert and cuts my poker-straight hair just right so that you don't see all the scissor marks (a problem I've had over the years other places). I've also found that I get a lot out of my dollars there...it's nice to not have to break the bank to get a great cut and color. So, try it! You'll have a good experience whoever your stylist is. Parking is also free and easy.

The service was phenomenal. Everyone is very friendly and I received a warm welcome. I love my hair - the stylist (Kim) did a great job and even though I don't think I explained it very well, my hair color turned out exactly how I wanted it. I had done my hair color at home, so it was in bad shape before, but 100% better when I left. They even gave me a follow up call about a week later. They have gained a new and ongoing customer.

I have been a client of two of the stylists at the Studio For Hair for 12 years now. This is bar none the best group of stylists in the greater Metro-Detroit area. Many of the stylists at The Studio specializes in hair color and hair extension (Pro-Hair Extensions), however they are exceptional when it comes to cuts, styling, manis, pedis, etc. The customer service at this salon is also amazing! The staff (even at the front desk) always go the extra mile to make sure that their clients look and feel their very best. Book an appointment now - it is the best decision that you will make for a long time to come!

The Studio for Hair is one of the few places let alone salons where I can actually be myself. The staff is so nice as well as extremely inviting. Everyone there is talented. You can't get a bad service from anyone there.

All the people, services, products are exceptional. This is a salon that really cares about its clients! I highly recommend it.

Everyone was extremely warm and friendly as soon as I walked in. I had an amazing shampoo!! My stylist gave me great knowledge of all the products she was using and I think that is fantastic. Especially since they're all natural. Another great thing, the salon didnt smell like chemicals. I had an outstanding experience at the Studio and I can't wait to come back.
