I made an online purchase and when i received a picture of what I paid for it did not match the advertised picture on the website, the flowers were just okay but not worth what I paid. From what I hear a lot of times they get it right but sometimes they get it wrong. I called and let them know what happened the lady on the phone was nice but not really helpful.

The quality of an arrangement is not only a reflection of the sender, but even translates to how much you care about the recipient. So when I needed to send flowers for my uncle's funeral in Michigan, I began by researching the local florists.



The funeral home highly recommended Farmington Center Florist, which was good enough for my mother to initiate her purchase. But I needed more input before ordering my flowers. I looked up reviews and found only glowing comments on this shop. Then I called FTD, since Farmington Center is on their select list. I learned that FTD grades their florists with a score of 1 to 12. Farmington Center Florist ranked a perfect 12!



Then I called the florist directly and explained the amount that my husband and I could spend and mentioned that I wanted a stand-up easel. By this time I was rather certain of their competence and talent, so I left the design choice completely up to the artist.



The woman with whom I spoke, had graciously offered to send me a photo of the finished work. But when I received it, I was so astonished by the grandeur that I thought they must have sent me a picture of someone else's flowers. I was not expecting that they would be able to make something THAT beautiful in my price range. I knew when I ordered that I would be pleased, but I did not expect to be absolutely, completely, impressed.



I asked my father, who was present at the funeral, to take a picture of my arrangement - and sure enough - it was the same one that the florist had photographed. My mother also was delighted with hers.



I don't know about floristry competitions here. They're quite big in the UK. But I do believe that this florist would come out on top. Farmington Center Florist has some serious talent.

I like this shop, they make it very easy to just mix & match your own bouquets or order something they make for you. The store has a nice gift selection but is very tiny unfortunately so it appears over stuffed. The hours stink, it's next to impossible to get in here after work & being closed on Sunday is the worst, as that's the day that I most often need flowers.
