This company delivered my 300 pound package and left it in the street! I had no means of lifting this package and ask the driver to help, he waived me off and said,"here's your curbside service "!

Do not use them unless you are able to print money. I've used over 15+ carriers, and R and L far exceeds all other carriers in percentages for re-classing and re-weighing freight. The BS part about it is R and L is mostly re-classing equipment to Class 200, completely unfairly. The driver here told me that the weights/measurements man at R and L, was bragging to him that "he was the best at re-classifying (with a smirk on his face)", implying that he knows he's ripping people off.

I will never use R and L again. I am disputing all their up-charges. Some of the examples were it was shipped at class 125, and the density met those requirements, and they were still re-classing to 200). I also have pictures of the crates with the dimensions and weights and they still were trying to screw me.

I would advise all the other people here that have gotten ripped off to a) dispute it with your broker, b) file a chargeback with the credit card company you used to pay the shipping bill for the up-charges, and c) file a dispute with the BBB for R and L. If there are enough BBB complaints (R and L doesn't respond, which also shows you their true colors), their rating will go down to a F and then no one will use them.
