I had kind of the same experience. My insurance had me come here. I ordered my glasses and I wanted transition lenses, with my insurance was $65 more. They told me that they do not recomend them because they dont really darken unless you are in direct sunlight. She then suggested that I pay over $200 for perscription sunglasses.

I went to Clarkson even after reading the review, and I'm glad I did. Their service was excellent. I received my contacts in a very timely fashion. Also the staff did a wonderful job in explaining the costs of everything I needed as well as help me chose the right eye care for my needs.

Due to insurance we had to go to Clarkson which I never would have went to otherwise. I make appt for my daughter. Doctor performs exam and we tell her the ones my daughter is use to and wants. She says she doesn’t have those. Suggests we try what she has. I paid what I thought was the entire fee for the exam for contacts. We go back a week later and let them know WE DON’T LIKE THEM …ORDER WHAT WE TOLD YOU TO ORDER. They then charge me for a contact exam fee. We finally get the contacts that we requested in the first place. I then go in a week before her prescription is up. I tell them I need to order a box of contacts. The receptionist say, “Your prescription is expired”. I said, “No, it’s not! What’s the date?” She then has to admit it is in a week. I said, “I want to order the contacts”. She says, “Well, we can’t do that because your prescription is almost expired”. I said, “I can go anywhere else and order contacts a week before my prescription is up and have no problem”. She says, “Well, you will have to make an appt before you can order more contacts”. I let the receptionist know that they were a JOKE and none of us will ever be back. I will let everyone know this is a terrible place to get your eyes examined. They seem to go out of their way to make it difficult or find something else to bill you for. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE PEOPLE.
