Rising Starr Middle School offers a variety of courses in math, language arts, science and social studies. It also conducts classes in home economics, Spanish, technology, music, personal finance, art and physical education. The school serves students in grades six through eight and is located in Fayetteville, Ga. Its media center contains a range of books, magazines, cassettes, videotapes and computer software to enhance the school s curriculum and promote multimedia production. Rising Starr Middle School s athletic activities include baseball, cheerleading, football, track and field, softball, volleyball and wrestling. The school additionally operates various extracurricular and cocurricular clubs and groups. Its peer mediation group provides opportunities for communicating and working out disagreements through students who are trained to facilitate conflict resolution.
