I took my two young male cats here to be neutered and when I picked them up, everything seemed to be fine. They seemed to have recovered well from surgery but when we got home a day or two after I could figure out why ALL of my cats were sneezing/wheezing/coughing. I racked my brain. I thought maybe it was the litter I was using even though it hadn't bothered any of them before. There was nothing new in the environment and so I looked it up online and found that it was most likely from taking them to this vet as being around other sick animals can cause them to catch it. Which is why all three of my other cats caught it when they brought it home. UUghhhhh

I took my dog to Acedemy Pet Hospital to have routine blood work done. I watched as the assistant bent the needle trying to find a vein and showed absolutely no regard for the pain my pet was feeling. I would never allow anyone to treat me that way and I will never let anyone treat my pet that way again!

Our beloved dog Zeppi developed a cough and out of concern for his health I took him to his life long Vet at Academy Pet Hospital. Test showed a collapsed Trachea and an enlarged heart. He was also diagnosed with early stages of congestive heart failure. The Veterinarian placed him on a salt free diet. His cough subsided with cough medications. I received a notice via mail that it was time for Zeppi to get his teeth cleaned. I made an appointment thinking nothing of it. The Veterinarian never informed us of any conditions stemming from then use of anesthesia on dogs with congestive heart failure. After bringing Zeppi home he started heavy labored breathing along with a bad cough. We took him back to the Veterinarian and saw his assistant who placed Zeppi in an oxygen chamber. Because of the weekend they transferred him to the Emergency Clinic, where we were told that he was in heart failure. They kept him on oxygen and medications until Sunday afternoon when we were able to take him ba

I took my dog to be kenneled at Academy over the holidays. When I dropped him off I had a bad feeling but had no other choice but to leave him. After a week my regular kennel had room so I called a friend to move my dog to the regular kennel. When she arrived at Academy she was overwhelmed by the stench of urine. When they brought my dog out he, along with the things I had brought for him, were COMPLETELY covered in urine. I would NOT recommend this kennel to anyone who cares about their pet.
