Provided by YP.comThis is a great place to go when you first get to Fayetteville, since most people you talk to will assume you have a basic understanding of the Army, especially the 82nd Airborne and Special Forces. This museum is a fun way to get the background info, and is way less confusing than having a soldier explain it to you.
in addition to artifacts, there are costumed mannequins, interesting scenery, and sound effects, so it's a really fun way to pass an afternoon. Even kids (or adults who behave like them) will find something to enjoy.
at all possible, try to go on Airborne Day, when there are extra exhibits set up inside and out on the lawn. They are manned by active duty soldiers in those positions. So for example, you can talk to an actual Special Forces Halo graduate and have them explain the business of jumping out of a plane. In addition, the Army choir performs, and Riggers show you how they pack parachutes, so it's a really good time!
