Create-Your-Own Hibachi Buffet

This place is awesome! It's a create-your-own buffet, so the food is as good as you make it.
You start by throwing some raw meat into your bowl. They have white and dark chicken, steak, shrimp, eggs, and even tofu. Then you can add noodles, and vegetables, like scallions, tomatoes, peas, peppers and onions. After that there's a sauce station, where you can add oil, garlic oil, teryaki, sweet and sour, or spicy sauces (among others). Finally, you can top off your creation with spices, including garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and paprika. For the less creative, they also have recipes to help you out.
Then you hand your bowl over to a chef and watch him cook it on a circular grill. While you wait, you can ring the gong to say thank you. After your food it cooked, they plate it for you and give you the option of white or brown rice. Then you can tramp happily back to your table to enjoy!
For dessert, you can try their chocolate cake or some cheesecake. Now I love sweets, but the chocolate cake is dense and overpowering for me. The cheesecake is pretty standard.
Ambiance and food are great here, but there are some cons. First: the popular 'white sauce' is an additional 25 or 50 cents per small ramekin. Should you want tortillas, they are also offered for an additional cost. Second: their female waitresses are usually pretty bad. Their only jobs are to keep your drink filled, give you your sauce or tortillas, remove empty plates, and bring you the check. They somehow manage to screw this up all the time. On the other hand, their male waiters are fantastic. We also try to get John when we go, but the other guys are excellent as well.
So make sure you're hungry, request a male server, and get ready to celebrate the American tradition of overeating!
