They botched up my home closing, so months later I'm still dealing with the consequences. At best, Metropolitan Escrow is incompetent. They provided incorrect tax information at closing, and it's likely that they colluded with the home builder to lower their property tax bill by shifting the obligation to me, the buyer.

Avoid Metropolitan Escrow, they are corrupt. Your home closing is too important.
