Art Against Violence was founded October 2014 as Stop the Violence 413 a youth violence prevention organization. Over the years we have adopted the new name Art Against Violence to represent our mission of deterring negative and violent behavior in youth by motivating them to pursue their passions in the arts. It is our hope that at risk youth will be inspired to submit their talents to us to be featured in our upcoming public service announcement series, together we can change the future for our community.

We host events where youths are asked to engage in fun activities and contibute their thoughts and feelings towards the discussion about violence prevention. We host fundraisers where we interact directly with members of the community sharing with them our thoughts and motivations for the future of this organization. We have many resources listed on our website most local to Western Massachusetts targeted at aiding people with basic amenities for a healthy lifestyle.

Amenities
We are available to participate in discussion and mentoring programs with at risk youth local to the region. We have dedicated members that will work tirelessly to bring together individuals with the resources they need offered in our community. We host fundraising events and events free of charge where members of the community can relax, participate in fun activities and learn important information about substance abuse education and prevention. We have pamphlets for individuals to take with them to share with friends and loved ones and knowledgeable members available to discuss the contents of these pamphlets and help explain the opportunities enclosed within. We are also accepting rolling submissions for our community art sweepstakes by emailing [email protected] We are looking for short 30 seconds to 4 minutes in length videos where members of the communtiy showcase their talents in a positive light. All submissions will be accepted as art is something widely open to interpretation but our judgement and selection of entries to be featured on our series will be favorable to those entries promoting positive behavior and good moral values.
