The Great Lakes Alliance for Manufacturing is a cellular coalition of small -mid size companies all involved with different aspects of the new product development process, from design, engineering and prototyping to a wide range of manufacturing operations. Two cells are currently in operation, in west Michigan and southwest Ohio. The companies in the coalition can handle different aspects of the process, individually or collaborate with other coalition members as a team. Joint projects by coalition members are coordinated by the coalition management.
