Anna knows dogs. Period. I first met this young lady when she helped me train my very old Boston terrier (proving you CAN teach an old dog new tricks), our pug (notoriously headstrong), and several of my friends' dogs. She has the patience, knowledge & sense of humor to help you train whatever breed/issues you have.

As a breeder, she puts a lot of thought into matching the right dog to the right person. A responsible breeder, Anna expects owners to be the same. She continues to look after her puppies long after they've been placed.

I've also used Canine Co-Pilots for boarding when I am unable to take my dogs on trips with me. It's the only kennel I trust with my pets. Anna works hard to accommodate everyone's needs.

Yes, she does ask for a nonrefundable deposit for classes. That's just good business. It guarantees your spot and your commitment to your dog & the class. Even tho I moved out of the area, I still drive for an hour to work with a trainer I respect & trust.

I hate being negative but felt I should share. Long story short we had things transpire at my home where we couldn't keep the puppy we had recently purchased. We had signed up for the obedience school a month before we picked up the puppy. When I was on the phone I was told we would be giving a deposit to hold our place. It was never described to me as a non refundable deposit and I never signed anything. We had the puppy for two weeks and had to give him up. I notified Canine Co-Pilots of our situation a full month before the puppy was scheduled to arrive. Her response was the deposit was non refundable and this is the reason they take the deposit so that if a dog doesn't show up to class then they are compensated. I understand the mentality however had we not shown up the day of the class that may be reasonable cause to keep the deposit. You performed no service. No goods exchanged hands. No contract was ever signed. How can you feel justified in keeping the money? You however knew a month in advance and only had the deposit for a couple weeks anyways. We then tried to mediate through the service Thumbtack that hooked us up in the first place. However they came back and said that Anna would refund half of the deposit if I took down my review. I initially thought this was ok but the more I thought about it she was still getting my money and no one would ever know. Even if she ends up keeping the full amount (which she likely will) unless I take her to small claims I want people to know what they are getting themselves into.
