My newly purchased 2001 SUV needed work to pass inspection. Midas gave a competitive bid for new exhaust, repackaging and tightening or replacing front wheel bearings, repairing leaking brake lines, and other minor safety related issues to make SUV roadworthy so I can give it to my wife to drive. I dropped it off Wednesday evening with a promise ready of Friday afternoon. They even saw to it that I got home. To my surprise and delight Midas called Thursday about noon saying suv was done. 1 day early. Fixed right and for the estimated amount. Very friendly staff. Mechanic said he didn't need to replace front wheel bearings as they were fine, just needed some grease and tightening after 143000 miles. Everyone was respectful and saw to it all issues were explained to me and shown. Honest shop. I will be back!!

Update
It's been 3 weeks since work was done and all is still fine. Unlike another reviewer, my suv was fixed right the first time and so far remains that way.

Not very good

I brought my car in to the above location over the holidays. After paying in excess of $1,500.00, and being told that it was fixed, it died on me days again after a few days. I had it towed back to the store. They told me that it was a defective part they installed and that it was fixed again.

Once again, after driving it for a few days, the car died. The explanation I was offered was that the car was simply out of fuel -- and that because the car had a new fuel pump, the gas light gauge worked differently than it had before. Unfortunately, this was a fact not mentioned to me in any way, shape, or form. Because I had paid a large sum of money to Midas, I was under the impression that it was working property. Apparently, I was supposed to know figure this all out; it's not like I was paying them or something.

To top it off, the employee I spoke with, Jared, refused to deliver the car back to me -- even though it was his failure to tell me of the different gauge reading that caused the problem. Moreover, given his tone and stubborn unwillingness to meet the customer's needs, I will certainly not be returning to Midas at all.

In total, my car has been in the shop 3 different times. And it is still not running as it did before the initial problems. Of course, Jared and the techs say it sounds fine.

"Total care care"...right
