Provided by YP.comOne time I brought my car in for leaking radiator. They replaced thermostat and told me car was ready. I told them before they did the work I did that before I brought them the car. They said car was fixed. I laughed. Went up to shop started car and in seconds radiator was spewing liquid and smoking. They didnt even test the car. Tried to make me pay $150. Next time they replaced my belts, pulleys and and a few other parts to stop squel when air is on. they put the parts on fixed the noise, told me the small clicking noise was another part. I knew this to be true information. Two days later my car squels louder then before just not when in park! Then they replaced fuel pump. fuel pump went bad in a week. They tried to tell me the fuelsensor and the pumpwas two different parts. I looked up the part number and found out it is all one part. Then they told me it was in my dashboard. I had my check engine light ran and it stated it was my fuel pump sensor. Under Warrenty. They still faught me on it! They wanted labor and diagnostics paid for. They would not take the numbers from the other garage that checked my engine light. They said it might be fake. Very unprofessional! Don't believe what others say. These things could happen to you. I research everything on the computer first. Like running the part number from the receipt for the first fuel pump to find out they lied about it being two parts! If I didn't, they would of screwed me!

Provided by YP.comSTAY AWAY! My wife, and her family including her late father, have been taking their vehicles to Al's Automotive for many years. When my car's starter went belly up, and as I don't have automotive repair experience, I had it towed to Al's (which was my first mistake). For a starter and new battery, they initially were gonna charge $711.32. I called other shops to get a better deal, found one, called Al's back... suddenly they could do it for much less than the original quote. Al's kept negotiating, and I figured that since it was already there, why not. They charged $590.42 for a starter, diagnostic, and cheap battery. Oh it gets worse. When I drove off in the 'repaired' car, I noticed the gas needle was BELOW empty, as in STUCK below the little peg next to the "E". I had no way of knowing how much gas was in my car. I turned around, went back; they were gonna give me the "name of a guy who works on that". When I asked, "I charge that back to Al's, right?" Larry looked at me like I had two heads, then chuckled. "Uh, nooooo... we're not going to repair something that we don't know happened while in our shop." (even though Steve, a mechanic, had already told me that it must've happened there.) Al's Automotive is a bunch of crooks; from the get-go they treated me like I was some young kid with no experience in how the business world works (i.e. screw 'em for as much as you can, then move on to the next), and even when I told him they don't want bad advertisement, Larry just shrugged it off. They've messed with the wrong guy, because I happen to believe in honest business practices, treat the customer like GOLD, take care of their concerns as if they're the only customer you have, and make sure they go out ready to give a glowing report to everyone they see that day. Al's Automotive is now on my radar screen and I have made it my mission to tell as many unknowing, unsuspecting people as possible that they need to go elsewhere for their automotive needs. By the way, my new family (the family who's been taking their cars to that bunch of criminals for years) knows LOTS of people, and word of mouth advertising is the most effective advertising around. Al's is about to find out how effective. I anticipate a call from them any time: "Please bring your car back so we can fix it to your satisfaction. And can you please stop with the campaign against us, it's hurting our business?!" STAY AWAY FROM AL'S AUTOMOTIVE IN FENTON, MO, AND ANY GROUP AFFILIATED WITH THEM! You'll be doing yourself a huge favor!

Provided by YP.comI took my car to Al's Automotive & Tire for service because I was told they could diagnose problems most shops missed. They were right. The technician found the problem, explained it in plain english and told me what was needed to fix it. The service advisor explained the estimate in detail and the work actually came in LESS than the estimate. The owner contacted me several days after the work was done to make sure I was satisfied and to see if I was treated OK. I sure was. Al's has a loyal customer in me!
