I checked into the er on July 2, 2016 with excruciating back pain. No nurse or doctor seemed to care. I was prescribed lidocaine patches and steroids, even though I could not afford.
I returned on July 6, 2016 in even worse pain. The nurse never even examined me and the attending doctor classified me as an addict. He never once examined me. They said the meds would be less than $20. I paid $200.
Luckily I went to uf shands. After xrays and an mri, I was diagnosed with degenerative spinal arthritis. Palmetto Nassau needs to realize their inadequacies and I plan on filing a grievance against them with the proper authorities. Not all 50 year olds are addicts, and I am offended and angry I was called one.

My husband had a kidney stone and was in severe pain to the point of throwing up. The ladies that checked us in was very nice and efficient. The nurses let us sit there for 30 mins and him crying in pain. When we were called to the back after asking the First Ladies how much longer?? there was nobody in the back. There was no reason to have to sit there that long other then they were not ready to start their shift. We arrived about 7:30am. After we were received in the back they worked fast as they could. My point is nobody should have to wait that long when you are in severe pain to the point of vomiting.

Having a fairly rare arrhythmia condition since I was very young, I have been in quite a number of hospitals and have to say, this one may very well be at the top of the list. I have been in some of the highest rated hospitals in the US and have been just as pleased ( generally speaking more so) that any of them. In my 6 years of living here, I have been to the E.R, outpatient services, and admitted for treatment quite a few times and it is the fastest ER service I have EVER encountered. And what is just as important, the staff (both the Drs. and the Nurses and Associates ) have been exceptional.

The site works very well and I thank you for providing it. The only really good improvement I would try if it is feasible is to use some sort of drop down numbered icon for zooming in and out. The slide bar while it does function well is hard to get to the point you need at times. Past that I would say thumbs up and thank you for a valuable service.
