My partner and I eat dinner here regularly and love-love-love it! Their homemade soups and desserts are amazing and they always have a large selection to choose from. The only problem I have is with their limited seating as the dining area is very small. I believe they could succeed with twice the amount of seating with no problem!

Was charged 17 bucks(!) for 2x basic diner breakfast: eggs, meat, hash browns, 1coffee. No place to wash hands. Seat at end of counter jammed with plants, speaker and waiting bench so close, patron was facing into my ear almost directly. I do not understand how they messed up coffee so badly in a diner, but it really tasted like water...I set it aside and left it; the waitress NEVER notice it was untouched. The eggs were ok. hash browns passable. Bacon reminded me of the stuff Bacos is made from: dry, overcooked. Waitress looked like she was having a bad day and not hiding it. I have had better breakfast at a fast food chain, and I can't stand fast food chains.

The best breakfast in town!

I found this gem a few years ago when, after waiting for a table at Toast for nearly 45 minutes, I gave up and searched elsewhere for breakfast. The food here is wonderful, and the wait is almost non-existent for a place with just a few booths. The bread that's served with your order is baked fresh, and always changing. I've had the gamut of dishes- omelets, skillets, pancakes, latkes, and biscuits and gravy- and they're all phenominal.

The only downside I can think of to Hilton Road Cafe is the coffee- nothing overblown or gourmet here. Just normal joe served in an unpretentious, friendly atmosphere.

My wife and I try to make it here as often as possible, and are there at least one Sunday a month. I'd love to see my favorite breakfast joint become the new, fashionable place for eggs in Ferndale- as long as I don't have to now wait 45 minutes for a table here.

Go! Enjoy! Spread the word!
