Provided by YP.comDespite high expectations and one decent referral, ultimately Metro did not deliver. This kind of ending is specially painful in an estate situation where it is already painful to deal with older family members having to leave their homes for good.
The two principals seem to be nice people, but it is clear running a real business is not their strongest asset. At the beginning, they missed appointments and phone calls, and were late in returning calls or delivering information. And, although it is very difficult to be 100% certain, but being based on what I had been told by long-time dead-reliable neighbors, having access to the house with nobody in it seemed to have given them license to take things from the house without my knowledge.
The sale itself went well enough and it generated cash and reduced the inventory. But there were a few things that were assessed and sold at a far lower than market value, something I found out about later.
In the end, and after repeated requests, there was a smallish amount of money that was owed for items put on eBay but never paid. Even though it was not significant, it was clearly not theirs to keep.
I suppose it could have been worse, but I would not want to see anyone have to deal with this as I did. There are other options.
