After over two weeks of trying to get assistance from the store, they responded with the following email and then my response.

Dennis:  I am the merchandise manager for the Building Materials department for Do it Best.  It has been brought to my attention you have sustained some damage to a piece of paneling purchased in either 2011 or 2012 and would like to replace it.  You have stated you purchased 6 or 7 sheets from our Do it Best member Festus Do it Center, you were not sure of the size of the panels, you had stated they were either 34” x 48” or could have been 48” x 96”.  It is also my understanding you no longer have the receipt of purchase that would assist us in trying to verify the manufacturer of the panel.  In this vein I believe Vickie of Festus was not able to find a copy and Christine from our office was not able to find any verification of your purchase.  You have provided a picture of the paneling and Chris attempted to cross reference paneling we carry from our supplier DPI, both current panels and discontinued, and could not find a match plus she checked on suppliers within our Mill Work department and again could not find a match. I feel Chris and Vickie have shown the necessary effort to try to help you out and at this point I agree with Vickie that a broken piece be brought into the store to see if there is any information on the back of the panel that could help Festus identify where the piece of paneling was manufactured.

Look I doubt seriously I would have bought cabinets (3) and coordinating paneling without a representative swatch either in a magazine or as I recall Vickie had a sample of the cabinet door we merely added dark glazing. Therefore we are not talking about an infinite number of choices. Why when even presented with a picture Vickie persists to pretend ignorance is unknown but not  totally unfathomable. She has a reputation in our neighborhood of being difficult to work with argumentative and emasculating even confrontational. I made the misstake of foregoing all as many foolish people where we live because the Do it Center is one of few available option's for the products mentioned without traveling to Arnold or further, tolerating Vickies abhorrent attitude to accomplish that end. Tucker Home's, Midstate Drywall to name a few would rather shop in Chicago if necessary to avoid this person.  So no I am not the idiot that you would portray me to be but a victim and I am not alone. After the way I have been treated at the Festus store and now as a nuisance by your corporate office I plan to tell my story to all who would be considering buying cabinetry and paneling from the remodeling store from hell to rethink their decision because among other reasons Vickie said I was more trouble than I was worth for buying such a pathetically small order as she is used to much larger ordering customers.  Thank you for taking the time to review my issue and not inanvertanyly supporting Vickie whether right or wrong otherwise she might have a cart blanch to abuse unopposed.
