Provided by YP.comHave been taking my animals there for a few years and over time have received poor service. Most of their technicians are very rude.
Their mistakes resulted in the DEATH OF MY DOG. I Took my dog there 2 weeks ago for major surgery on a tumor, a few days later she had necrosis(extreme death of tissue) and bacterial infection at the operation site. They were closed the day we discovered this and they refused to come in and simply told us to wait until the next morning when they were open, even after I called the emergency number twice and sent a picture message of the rotting incision. They didn't care.
I contacted a family member who is a vet tech. and she informed us to go to LVSES immediately that this kind of problem could not wait. Another surgery was performed by the emergency vet to try to fix all of the problems; The problem still came back due to the bacteria and we were informed that there was nothing we could do for my dog and we had to end her suffering.
We found out that Elk Creek Animal hospital PERFORMED the SURGERY WRONG, took the biopsy WRONG, and EXPOSED HER TO BACTERIA and are obviously not as sanitary as they should be.
P.S. They are also terribly unorganized, we had many paperwork issues!
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR PETS, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO TAKE THEM. I recommend Dr. Carcara if you're looking for a new vet, she seems like she knows what she is doing!

Provided by YP.comSimply the Best! I used another vet for a few years before finding Elk Creek and boy am I glad I found them. Dr. Joni Lindquist literally saved my little Rat Terrier Jessica & found my other Rat Terrier Ozzy was diabetic only 20 minutes after seeing him. Both dogs are doing fine now. The other vets and staff at Elk Creek are awesome as well. Well worth the 30 minute drive.

Provided by YP.comAwesome!
I drive 30 minutes to visit this office and Dr.Shelly. I love my babies more than life and I am very picky about whom I trust with their care. I have been pleased with the Dr for a few years now.

Provided by YP.comLet me start by saying, "kmgadd02, I am very sorry for your loss." We were referred to Dr. Shelley by my brother- and sister-in-law who lived in Taylorsville and used to rescue cats. Dr. Shelley vetted all of them and provided many surgeries as needed without avail. We have taken our pets to Dr. Shelley for the past several years and have never had any problems either. As a matter of fact, we once had to call Dr. Shelley after hours due to the illness of our Cocker Spaniel and he met us in the parking lot, opened the practice up and got our baby healthy again in no time. Because both my husband and I work full time, their office has allowed my husband to drop off our pet on his way to work and come back to pick them up when he got off work without charging us any boarding fees for the day. We do not live anywhere near Dr. Shelley's office but have continued to take our pets there because of the level of consistent care and service they have provided both our pets and our family.
