I went to this place because my sister recommended it. She was really happy with the communication and approachability of her stylist. She got precisely the cut she was looking for and always goes to Avalon for her hair style needs. So, I figure I'd go too. I hadn't cut my hair for many years (about 11), and so had no clue where I ought to go for some serious updo action for a special occasion. My stylist was extremely friendly, made me feel right at home, and we reviewed some of the photos in the style books together. I gave her complete creative license to style my hair. What I got was fantastic and it held up all evening. I was loathe to take it down the next day. That was about a year ago. I'm going back now because I've finally worked up the nerve to have my hair cut. Since Avalon supports Locks of Love, I'm going to donate at least 20 inches of my own hair (probably more) and opt for a considerable update of my hairstyle.

I always go to other places for a hair cut. With Avalon the hairstylist took time to explain about a style I would like. She made me feel comfortable and welcome. This place is very good for hair cuts and other styles.
