The Legacy Academy Activity Center is owned and managed by Tom Baggot, a 1984 graduate of the University of Wisconsin degreed with a B.S. in economics. Tom is a native of Wisconsin Dells and, prior to starting the Legacy Academy in September, 2007, had earned a living in corporate real estate for several years, most recently as Commercial Leasing Manager at Cingular Wireless / AT&T in Atlanta, Georgia. The Legacy Academy endeavors to make entertaining and enjoyable youth activity programs available to area families at reasonable prices. Our versatile 6, 000 square foot facility includes a reading & study room, recreation room, padded activity floors, a Rainbow Castle Playset, a jumping platform & landing pad, gymnastics tumbling mats, training bars, spring boards, climbing ropes, swing sets, a rock climbing wall, a climbing net, a tire swing, hoppity balls, a Lego play table, two large screen Nintendo Wii consoles, regulation & kiddie basketball hoops, an adventure tunnel, bean bag & ring tosses, jump ropes, and several free table games ( e.g, air hockey, shuffleboard, foosball, stick hockey, shuffle bowling, & pool tables ), and other play equipment. The academy seeks to bring quality After School and Summer Camp experiences to children between the ages of 7 to 12 as well as a birthday party program and an open gym program that is available to all children up to twelve years old. In addition, we offer all-day care on most weekdays when area schools are not in session. These youth programs primarily serve resident families in the metro area of Madison, Fitchburg, and Verona, Wisconsin but are also available to the general public living outside of the Madison metro area. No long term contract is required for participation in the After School program or the Summer Camp program. Children may be enrolled for the specific weeks of interest to their families. However, total enrollment is capped due to space limitations. The Youngsters Open Gym program is intended to give children an opportunity to enjoy free play in our comfortable indoor facility. The open gym program is seasonally available to preschoolers and other pre-teen children on a daily basis. An adult relative or nanny is required to supervise any children present under the age of seven. Current open gym hours are posted on the Youngsters Open Gym page at this web site.
