I took over management of the Barracuda Bay motel at the request of the owner, Billy Timms of Rome Georgia, on November 30th 2013. I was hired to do everything from cleaning the rooms, to repairing the motel and everything else in between. I worked diligently for 3 weeks getting this slum of a motel clean enough to rent the rooms. When I requested my wages, the owner fired myself and my spouse on the spot and threw us out on the street 6 days before Christmas, leaving us homeless with $75 in our pocket. The motel is disgusting and in terrible disrepair. The owner will not fix anything nor pay for it to be fixed. The ceilings are falling down, there are rodents and bugs everywhere and the motel is generally a dump. I was told when I took over management that this motel was the biggest dump in Flagler beach, it still is. Do not waste your money on this dump, there are much nicer establishments in Flagler.

this motel is DISGUSTING!! i stayed there for months, heads up everyone, they dont even wash the comforters!! so the blanket you're sleeping with HAS NEVER BEEN WASHED!!! yes there is rats!! plus, they dont even clean under the beds!!!! the AC doesnt work, the ceilings leak, the doors are make-shift, the owner is cheap and RUDE, the rates change, you get kicked out for NO REASON, all the drunks go there, YOU CANT STAY THERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS!!! no phone, no internet, no manager, theres mold,noone ever answers the phone, faulty electrical outlets, no fire safety, smoke dectectors DO NOT work, the rooms say 'no smoking' yet they all smell of smoke, you have to pay $50 extra for the kitchen and all you get is a stove, no hot water, water is BROWN, you dont get asked if you need you room cleaned or if you need towels, you're better off sleeping on the beach than sleeping at this motel!!!! oh by the way i was kicked out because i had an at-home iv!! the Beach Front motel is a couple blocks down and the rates are about the same and the rooms are TWICE THE SIZE!!!!

I have stayed at Barracuda Bay for an extended stay and it was a very pleasant stay. Very REASONABLE rates, makes vacation more fun(more money to enjoy other things). All guests are considerate of other guests, no loud parties late at night are tolerated, which makes a peaceful evening. There are no rodent or bug problems of any kind, very clean rooms, pleasant staff and customer service, private, new deck across road with beautiful view of ocean and beach. Easy access to beach, restaurants, shopping, and just scenery walks. I really enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. It is more for near homeless people to live in. The live ins had their clothes hanging in front of the rooms. They had a kiddie pool that they bathed the screaming kids in at night. Then to top it off the lock didnt work and my room was robbed while I ran to the store - of course no one saw anything when I called the police. In the room there was rat poop and roaches. The bible was even chewed in the corner by mice or rats. There were police there all night for fighting drunks. I was terrified. I couldnt enjoy the beach because I was too afraid to leave my room. Don t stay there ever.

If you are in desperate need of a roof over your head for cheap, then stay here. If you are looking for anything more, go somewhere else. Staff was very friendly. Needs some repairs. Across street from beach.
