Started in 1978, Flagstaff Assistance League is a national volunteer organization that promotes goods and services to adults and children in the Flagstaff area through community-based philanthropic programs. The organization has more than 85 members and 25 auxiliary members. The auxiliary members support the philanthropic and fund-raising activities of the organization and develop additional programs to serve the needs of the community. The Safe Child Center at Flagstaff Medical Center is one of the philanthropic activities that work with law enforcement and child protective services.
