The restaurant was not very busy, and althought the server was good, it took about a half an hour to get our food which was cold, and not very flavorful. Mexican food is my favorite food to eat, and this was by far the worst I have ever had. I have driven from Flint, and hour trip to Brighton to eat at my favorite tex-mex restaurant Border Cantina. Well worth the drive. I am giving this 1 star because I can't give it a zero.

Some friends and I decided we wanted some Mexican food late on a Friday night. A friend from Flint suggested Don Pablo's. We showed up about a half hour before they closed and the waiter clearly was not happy for us showing up. We made our orders and the food came out fast and hot. The orders were accurate. The food was definately sub par. The main complaint was hard (undercooked) rice, which also seemed to be "box rice". The beans had no flavor. Overall, the food was weak. If a Mexican place can't get beans and rice right, don't trust anything else. The waiter clearly wanted us out of there ASAP, which I understand working in the food industry myself, but was never the less poor service. The food was also overpriced for what it was. Most likely, I will not go to Don Pablo's again or recommend it to anyone.
