Provided by YP.comWalking in I was confronted with a single employee who wasted no time in letting me know I wasn’t deserving of respect. When I gave her the order she rolled her eyes so hard I almost laughed, until it registered that she was serious, at which point I was disgusted. Reeling from the first exchange, I was hoping the second one would end quickly. After all, what had I done so wrong in all but 25 seconds of being there? I hand her the only bill in my wallet which was a $50. This time she did it again, only taking great care to exaggerate so there was no mistake about it - she hated everything that was taking place and nobody in there was NOT going to know about it. Outstanding. I tried my best to stay calm and not react to the childish slights/extreme attitude. I would love to give her the benefit of the doubt except it was happening to other customers there at the time, who were much more vocal about the way they felt. It was outrageous and a disgrace. This went on for a while until she stopped waiting on our tables and people had stopped approaching her at the bar.
With that being said I fully understand that people aren’t always on their “A-game” and that life takes its toll but the owners should be aware that this is happening. If my issue were nothing more than a personal gripe I’d have addressed it to her but this kind of thing will surely turn prospective customers away and damage their reputation. For any grown adult to act like this is reprehensible, not to mention one acting on behalf of a respected establishment in the Flint area. Also, I want to point out this is less a personal complaint than it is voicing concern for other people who have to come into contact with this woman, the owners, and anyone else affected. I’m known to have thick skin myself but nobody deserves that kind of horrible treatment for no reason. Psychotherapy is a far better place to act this stuff out than at work where your job is to serve customers.
