My daughter started dancing at YPBT when she was 8, and is now in High School. The studio is inviting to new comers, and draws students from over 45 minutes away. Though the level of instruction is very high their pricing is in line with all the other studios in the area. YPBT has a family feel where young dancers have a connection to their older classmates. At this school your child learns the art of dance, not just the steps for the upcoming performance.

Young Peoples Ballet Theatre is a great place for passionate dancers who are looking for great training in dance. They offer great performance opportunities to the dancers, and teach them to work as a team to bring professional like performances to the public.

Our daughter has taken lessons at this studio for the last 6 years and absolutely loves it. Students are encouraged to work hard and do the best they can do no matter their age or ability. Instruction is top notch at the studio, and the opportunity to join the ballet company allows kids the chance to experience, take part in, and dream of a possible professional ballet future.

If your child loves to dance this is the studio! My daughter has grown as a dancer since going to YPBT with teachers that nurture the love of the art. The YPBT company is very professional and she has loved working with professional teachers and choreographers, also performing on stage with props and gorgeous costumes. Great things are happening there. What a wonderful experience for my dancer.

My daughter has been studying dance at YPBT for over 7 years. When we saw our first storybook ballet at YPBT, we were so impressed. It was amazing to see children ages 8-18 perform in a professional setting with professional choreographers and teachers. The costumes, the dancing and the music were absolutely beautiful! Studying at YPBT and performing on a stage has helped to boost my daughter's confidence level. The teachers at YPBT believe in their students, encourage them to do their best and push them to go further. If a dancer wants to dance professionally, they will be well prepared if they study at YPBT. Our family has created many lasting friendships with other families. YPBT has been a wonderful experience and is like a second home to our family!

My children love going to this ballet school. I did too as a child. The atmosphere is friendly, supportive and warm. The performing company puts on amazing productions that are professional quality. I would recommend this school to everyone.

WOW!!!!! This is an amazing ballet / dance school and Theatre company. While the primary emphasis of this exceptional school is ballet, they have a great compliment of teachers who broaden the student's repertoire to include jazz and contemporary. The dance instruction is so first-rate that many students have gone on to perform professionally. A dance student could not do better than attend YPBT. But that's just the school. In addition, they have a complete ballet theatre that focuses on students, ranging in age from 5 - 18, performing full length ballets, replete with professional quality costuming. What an opportunity! No $150 costume to be worn for a 5 minute recital. This is high quality, stunning, ballet theatre.

Best kept secret in Flint! When I first joined YPBT it was from a friend telling me about it. The teachers are well trained, professional and courteous. The dancing that YPBT teaches and performs is unmatched by other local schools. People are always marveling at our dancers! The studio is big and clean, with floor to ceiling mirrors. and natural lighting. YPBT has been like a second family to my daughter. It has been the best experience, not only for my dancer, but for our family as well. I can't say enough about the exceptional dancing that is being taught at YPBT!
