Yesterday, we reserved a car from this location for an overnight business trip. When we got to the Hertz in Florence, we were told they didn't accept the only credit card we had. The card was issued by our bank. The employee said that the local Hertz was having a legal dispute with the bank and was not accepting cards from that bank. We had reserved the car online and there was nothing online about not accepting our card. We even used that same card to reserve the car. Even though they had our phone number, no one called before pick-up time to tell us they couldn't accept our card. Of course, they don't take cash, they won't take a different card over the phone, it's Saturday and they close at noon and there are no cars to rent at the only other rental location in town. Now we are stuck and don't know what to do. I'm a Hertz Gold Member, but will never rent from them again.
