One of, if not, THE best shop around Florence! Super clean, polite, and awesome work. Line work is crisp and color is super vibrant. Will not go anywhere else in florence. They just keep getting better! I also noticed 2 low reviews that are strikingly similar as if someone made 2 accounts just to lower the rating?

Got my first Tat when I was over 50. Matt talked to me the whole way through. Made sure I was ok and if I needed to stop or rest. I now have 2, Old man has at least 13 or 14 all by Matt (Loves showing them off) I recommend Stay Bold to all my family and friends. No one else will ever touch this skin. Stay Bold is the cleanest and best shop around. Love you guys.

Best Shop around Vance is a Wonderful Peircer he was so helpful when i became allergic to the jewelry he helped all he could an the tattoos are great too !!!!!!!!!!!

If you want awesome,bright, sterile ink. Then I say go see these great guys Matt and Stephen at STAY BOLD CUSTOM TATTOOS. They will give you ink you will be proud to have the rest of your life! Vance is the best piercer I know around here. These awesome guys will always satisfy to the fullest extent! Go over there or call now to get inked or pierced! Best place in town!

I as well, have known the artist for many years. Since the first time I met Matt Green, I knew he would be the ONLY artist to ever put ink on me again. I have 3 tats that were done elsewhere. I was given no opinions or warning as to how they would look "down the road." Those 3 tats now look like prison tats. The fairy HAD a face, but no one told me that as small as it is, the face would bleed together and eventually have no face. Not only that, but they have lost their color. Matt did go over one of them for me and brighten it up and made it look like a whole new tat. He will eventually be covering the other 2 completely, as I do NOT want another artists ink on me. My tats that Matt did for me years ago as well as recently still look fresh. I am asked constantly if they are "new." Someone commented below that they weren't clean.....HAHAHA....obviously someone who is just trying to stir $hit. Stop by the shop and see how clean and sterile they are. As far as the attitudes and friendliness of the employees; they are EXCELLENT. Nice, friendly and courteous. The one thing that most don't understand is, if the tat will bleed together over time, or will not look right in ANY way, they will let you know and will not do it. Not to be mean or say the design you chose is stupid, just simply so you won't be walking around with a jank tat and advertising who did it. Why else would someone turn away money. Would you rather give your money to someone who won't be honest with you? Then by all means, Stay Bold is NOT the place for you. Go to any other NASTY non-sterile shop in the Shoals area. You may be happy at first, but years later when yours looks like prison tats and SBCT tats still look fresh and bright; you WILL regret WASTING that money!!!! Love you Matt and crew. Stay Bold is the best shop in North Alabama!! Very clean and talented artists. I have been in and gotten work done in many different shops in the south, and Stay Bold is leaps and bounds above the rest. Great environment with great and talented people, doesn't get much better than that. I love these guys!!

I've known the tattoo artists for many years and have watched Matt's skill progress extensively, as I still have some of his earliest work that we have not reworked yet, into the beautiful artwork he now produces! Stephen's work is very organic and quite awesome to look at. I met Vance earlier this year when we brought my daughter in to have her cheap wal-mart kit earrings replaced with body jewelry so they could heal, and he was VERY professional. Recently I had Vance do some work for me as well, and I couldn't stress enough how professional this guy really is. Very matter-of-fact when it comes to discussing what happens during healing time and what jewelry is best for that location. I think their shop hours are AWESOME, by treating it more like a business by offering decent hours rather than a quick-stop tattoo mill open til midnight.

I highly recommend stay bold. Not only for custom tattoos but for cover ups. I went to another tattoo place and they highly screwed up my tattoo by making it how they wanted but at stay bold they listened to me and I got the tattoo I wanted and I get compliments on it all the time :)

It's a super clean place, everyone is very professional, and the artwork speaks for itself. Stay Bold is definitely the best choice if you wanna get a tattoo in this area.

I've been going to Stay Bold for quite awhile. And I've seen one of the artists for years. Always does great work, very personable, and the custom work is amazing! They have found a customer for life.

Every tat that I get from there has always been great. The artist I see has always made sure each tat was done right. He takes his time to make sure it's the best. The atmosphere is great and love the welcomeness I get going in there. I would and do recommend them all the time.

So being someone who has had quite a bit of piercings and tattoos I have to say the guys at Stay Bold are amazing. Vance's piercing technique made my piercings almost completely painless. Matt Green is the best tattooist I have ever had. My colors are beautiful and bold, with amazing and perfect bold outlining. I refer everyone I meet to Stay Bold because their professionalism and art work set the standard. I love having a beautiful piece of art on my body forever. I hot a tattoo and was happy with it until I seen other people with tattoos that looked almost the same. They say there a custom shop but all there work is similar.

Not clean people and bad attitude.

The tattoo I got was done well but after noticing other peoples tattoos that have went there they all look very similar. Like all of the work is almost the same.
