You guys must be using wrong lures or something I have been to chaps lake several times and caught decent sized catfish everytime and some sizable bass. Dont blame the lake for your inability to catch fish

Worst lake I have ever been to. Had to pay 20 bucks to fish for 3 hours then the "owner" came and told me I had to leave or pay 10 bucks for the night fishing ... The lady at the bait shop never sd anything about the time she sd it was a 12 hr ticket but the owner sd that don't even exist there ... Fish not ever bite there were 20 people around the lake and was there all day and didn't even get a bite .. Worst lake ever no fish in there

did not catch any fish with me and my children fishing with

everything from nitro worms to

actual catfish bait.only two fish call the whole time we were there .do not believe they stock it like they say they do. Was told they had bass crappie and bluegill besides big catfish.

I appreciate the bad review from 6/15/12. I want to enjoy a day of fishing for father's day and had anticipated maybe fishing there considering the close location. I was hesitant however b/c I had gone there a couple years ago with my brothers and all any of us caught was a carp; not to mention we were the only souls there that day. I think after reading that terrible experience from yesterday I will definately consider going somewhere else.

I will NEVER go back again! I work with young people and want to go there often, I explained my job and ask for a discount. I was told they would not adjust their fee! Which is $18.00 per person, cash only! They close at 6 pm, we were packed up and heading for the car-when we were yelled at and told to "come on". It was four minutes after 6 when we were pulling out of the gate that the rude man was standing at. This is after I locked my keys in the trunk and had to crawl thru the back seat to get them. The rude man was at the gate, told to us we had not started to pack up when he yelled at us, and then I even explained I had knee surgery less than 4 weeks ago and we were walking alittle slower. I was told then I should have realized that and started packing up sooner! What a terrible ending to my outing with this young person, they were upset and made a terrible ending to the day. I will never go back, the guy is a jerk!

on july 4th i was asked to leave the lake after only an hour and a half of fishing . reason was because i was the only one in the place. no refund of anykind was offered to me after spending $50. i have been going to chaps lake for 3 years on a regular bases and it is only from time to time i can even catch a fish. there is to much bait fish in the waters and not enough catfish. years of fishing and not restocking have taken their toll. they claim to have stocked a bunch of big fish but i believe it to be propaganda.for example the jackpot for a 50lb fish has not been caught once this year this is the first year for that jackpot by the way! save your money and go somewhere else
