About the Studio Notes from Lindsay Art Always is an art school for children, teenagers and adults located in the Brushworks Arts and Industry building in Florence, MA. The studio runs group classes, after-school workshops, private lessons, parent/child workshops and birthday parties out of a beautiful studio overlooking the Mill River. Its mission is to provide a fun and supportive environment where students feel safe to explore and develop their art-making skills and creative potential. Art Always hopes to provide students with the skills and support needed to communicate visually and become more confident in their abilities as artists. Lindsay Fogg-Willits began Art Always in 2002 after graduating from Skidmore College with a degree in fine arts. In addition to her work at Art Always, Lindsay is Administrative Director of DASAC ( Deerfield Academy's Summer Arts Camp ) and is a frequent visiting artist to area schools and art programs. She teaches art part-time at the Hill Institute in Florence, MA and at the Four Winds School in Gill, MA and recently lead a series of art workshops with inmates as part of a grant-sponsored program with the Hampshire County Jail. She continues to show her own work locally and regionally and looks forward to a solo exhibition of her work in Font Moure, France during the summer of 2009.
