I will never do business with this company again! After paying 25.00 for a Mystic Tan visit that I didn't get to use bc one of the machines was broken and I couldn't wait all day since I was on my lunch break, I went back the next week to try and get a refund since the event I wanted to get the tan for had come and gone. The rep told me that they couldn't put the money back on my card but for me to call customer service. I called and was told that it wasn't Ultratan's policy to give refunds, but that a supervisor would call me back within 72 hours. Two days later, the supervisor did call, but told me the same thing, that I couldn't get my money back. I'm not talking about using the tanning visit and then wanting a refund bc I didn't like the color that I turned out. I'm talking about not using the service at all and them seeing the unused money on my acct, but not willing to refund it. I was also told that I had one year to use the money on my acct or it would vanish...into thin air, I guess. A few days later I asked could I get a gift card for the amount on my acct so I could give it to someone else that I know who goes there or have the money transferred to their acct. Again, I was denied such a request but was told that a supervisor would call me back. Three days passed and there was no call. Finally, I called back and got a customer service supervisor, Beth, who was very helpful and said that it wouldn't be a problem to transer the money to the other person's acct. I gave the other person's info and got the money transferred but it nearly took an act of congress. I was about ready to file a complaint with the SC Attorney General just to get something done. This is ridiculous and if it's standard company policy, then it is stupid and seemingly illegal. Don't do business with Ultratan.
