Mr. Steck is rather rude, unprofessional, and misleading. Guttering was installed without replacing rotten boards which had been paid for in advance. Total amount for work was written on the back of a business card. The business card shows a BBB Rating of A+ but the actual Better Business Bureau Rating is D+. This company is not at all accredited by the Better Business Bureau! Work was done without our presence although it was agreed we would be notified to be there for inspection as work was performed. (My tenant called me when she got home from work and told me some work had been done on the house.) Work done was shoddy and incomplete. (The guttering was placed on the rotten roof boards that should have been replaced, and the fascia was damaged more than it was in the first place). Got the runaround on re-work. Phone hang-ups. Work schedules not kept. Steck kept insisting that my husband (a retired contractor himself) did not need to be there to observe the work being done or to meet the workers, which leads me to believe he never intended to notify us the first time the work started, as was requested and agreed to. I also am questioning who his workers are that he does not want us to see them or their vehicles! I finally texted him and told him he was fired due to lack of trust in him and his company and requested a refund of money paid for work not done. (My contact with him was changed to text messaging because of his tone and also because of the hang-ups.) Steck left me a phone message telling me he WOULD NOT GIVE ME A DIME! SO HE INTENDS TO JUST KEEP MY MONEY, KNOWING THAT HE DID NOT HONOR THE CONTRACT (though verbal). BY DOING UNTIMELY, INCOMPLETE WORK. I just hope he realizes that verbal contracts are binding in the state of Missouri! I did not, after all, ask for money to have someone else straighten out his mess, I just want the money I paid for work not performed - mainly for boards not replaced. PETTY - LESS THAN $200!

Once the contract was signed we were told 3 weeks and after 3 weeks and no contact from Matt Steck we had to contact him. He stated that the work would be the next day. No one shows. Finally the supplies for the roof are delivered and it wasn't until the next day at 11 am when works and Matt showed up.The work was started and in the middle of the work on the roof it started pouring rain. The workers left for about and hour and on returning there was beer cans and hard liquor bottle put in to the dumpster with the old roof trash. They did not have enough supplies and it was getting dark so the work was stopped. The next day we noticed that there was to be 4 vents added to the roof and the was only 2. A call to Matt to be informed that they had been short materials. A worker shows up to remove the dumpster and takes the 2 bundles of supplies with him.

I am very pleased with Steck Roofing. The customer service was par excellence. My roof looks great. The workers were courteous and very respectful.

I have had an excellent experience with Matt Steck! His guys are busy and Matt personally had to repair my roof.referred him to Rodney and Janet both had good experience. Sean referred me to Steck Roofing. I hope he does metal roofing and reasonable. I found that Steck prices are less than others. Yolanda D.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL... Matt Steck showed up to my house 21/2 hours late barged in set at my kitchen table and told me to pick out a color and sign the contract. He was very rude and loud so I refused he got angry and said I wasted his time and left out of my house. I would never let this company touch my home based on the way Matt dealt with me and his very disrespectful demeanor.

He is extremely unprofessional. I referred him out and the person called explaining he put an old shingle on a roof. He needs to be stopped, he is unbelievable to deal with.
