Established in 1987, Lamar Middle School is located in Flower Mound, Texas. The school serves more than 750 students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in various subjects that include reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Its range of extracurricular activities includes art, music, drama, home economics and physical education. Lamar Middle School also operates chess, yearbook and astronomy clubs. The school offers vocational courses in industrial arts, creative writing, journalism and environmental systems. It provides special education services to gifted and talented students. In addition, the school offers a variety of sports activities, such as football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and cross country. It operates a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising activities. The school also provides the English as a Second Language program. Lamar Middle School is operated by the Lewisville Independent School District.
