"Why would anyone want their DOG to get groom @ Nosey Dog that herds them in like cattle". Or if your dog isn't orderly "Beware" they may not finish. On our 1st visit, we politely waited 15 min. We liked the idea of no cage, my dog has spinal meningitis and back two legs sometimes collapse. Our 2nd visit we they called & asked, are you still bringing dog, I said yes, I am 5min away, they stated I would have to cancel, they have back /back appointments & my Dog would put them off schedule. I asked for manager because it took 4 wks to make this appointment but they were not at location or bother to call me back.

I have been taking my 5 dogs there for about 2 years. They always look wonderful after being groomed by Corey! I have 2 Shih-Tzus, 2 Poodles, and a Bichon. They don't seem to mind going to the groomer's at all. They are just kept long enough to do the job so they don't have to be in a kennel for hours like some salons. The price is very fair too.

I took my dog in to get groome...

I took my dog in to get groomed today. I have been letting him grow out forever because the last place I took him did a horrible job and gave him a mustache that looked like they shaved down the middle of his nose! They also had followed his body line on his stomach and went up when everyone knows Labra doodles are supposed to be cut straight across all one length. He was starting to look really shabby, and I thought he could finally be cut right. I had asked previously if they groom many Labra doodles, and I was told that they do. I went in and spent a lot of time talking to the groomer telling her that I did not want him shaved on the nose and it to look like a mustache. I want his muzzle to be round all the way around like a teddy bear (I’m not sure how much more specific I could be!). I also pointed out the body and told her what had happened and she even stated that they followed the body line and she didn’t have to do that and could go straight across. She asked how much I wanted off and I told her a trim. She said the hair will only be 2 inches because that was the longest guard she had for her clippers. I said that I was willing to do that to get the right lines so when he grows out it will all be perfect. She said she didn’t t have to do it, but I told her it would be worth it if the lines were going to be the way they are supposed to and then they can grow out.

I went in to pick him up and immediately got sick at my stomach when I saw his face. It was exactly how I told her not to cut him. I have been letting it grow out for months and months and now it was screwed up again and looked like he had a mustache. I said, “Did you shave down his nose?” She said, “No, I absolutely did not”. I picked his face up, and stated, “Seriously?” She said, “No, I just shaved right here at his eyes”. It obviously was also shaved on his nose. You can’t deny it while you are standing there looking at him. It is not a rounded Teddy Bear nose like I requested. He looked like he had a slicked down mustache. I was so disgusted that I didn’t even look at his body at that moment. I just said that I can’t find anyone to cut him like I request and I would not be bringing him there again. The groomer replied, “That is fine. Your dog is hard to cut anyway!” He is a 10 month old miniature Labradoodle 20 lb. puppy. He is only 15 inches tall. The manager was right there at the counter and didn’t say a single thing.

I got home and then looked at his body and saw that she cut him along the body line and not straight across as I requested either. I decided to call and talk to the manager, and low and behold that was the lady at the counter. She apologized and said she was sorry that I was not happy. I asked her why a person would even spend the time explaining to the groomer what they want if they are not going to listen. She kept saying that the groomer did what she understood me to request. I made myself crystal clear with details as to what I wanted. I’m just sad to say that my dog s face looks like a poodle instead of a Labra doodle, and I will be on the search once again to find someone in Flower Mound that knows how Doodles are supposed to look. I asked the manager if that lady has been a groomer long. She said the groomer has been grooming for over a year! I told her obviously a year is not that long! Again, she just apologized, and I did tell her I would be leaving an honest review of my experience with them.

I posted pictures of his before and after. You can be the judge!

Hi. The groomer did a terribl...

Hi. The groomer did a terrible job on our Wheaten Terrier and did not follow instructions notwithstanding our showing the groomer a picture of the coat length/style we wanted. I was shocked when I picked my dog up and found her shaven down completely (we had requested the groomer to leave approximately 2 inches of her coat). When the groomer saw my shock, she simply said our dog was matted so she shaved her. I can t believe she made that unilateral decision without consulting with me first...would have been very easy to call me. Note that we keep our Wheaten well maintained and the only matting she had was the result of us not brushing her for the last week since she had a groomer s appointment pending. I am not one to write negative reviews on businesses but I felt I should in this case to provide fair warning for others considering taking their dog to this groomer. Unless you are looking for a straight forward shave, be careful taking your pet to The Nosey Dog.
