I enjoyed using the facility itself. Lots of free weights and machines. I did not enjoy the employees or their attitudes starting with and most notably the manager Wayne. I'm not sure that such a competitive business can afford someone as arrogant and offensive to the membership. BAD BAD BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!

Great equipment, crap people. ...

Great equipment, crap people. There's not a single rule listed in the place that is accurate or followed. It is the only gym I have ever been a member of where I never see anyone cleaning and it is indeed the dirtiest, buggiest gym in town. The trainers are not exactly Courthouse employees and seem to all have the same crap regimen they hand out to people. It's a good thing I wasn't a beginner when I started because I have yet to receive an orientation appointment, something most gyms do, and something I was signed up for when I started there. The pool is 12 ft at its deepest and huge but often unavailable for real use because of either the swim team or the birthdays. It is covered but it's open to the elements and therefore cold in winter. Members here have the worst manners of the three gyms I have spent time at, no one re-racks weights, towels get thrown in the garbage instead of towel bins and we won't discuss the poop that's been there for three weeks on two different bathroom doors. About the only upside is that their weight-room has so much stuff that even at its busiest you can get at the weights and racks and even the machines. The parking stinks, as the place has grown the parking lot hasn't so people are forced to park on the street and on what clearly used to be a tennis court. They charge way too much, 10$ for the same plastic scan/keyring thing every other gym gives for free, and an extra 30$ every August supposedly for improvements, and the of course every little thing is extra from trainers to lockers to use of another location. I see why they prefer a two year contract, they wouldn't be able to keep people otherwise. This is not a gym for beginners nor is it fat or disabled friendly. The showers are tiny, I mean teeny tiny. The one shower in the back with the pool that could accommodate a disabled person, the bench is broken, has been for a while. The floors are slippery in the shower areas, I mean break a hip slippery and the mats that could fix that are so simple and easy it's a shame they don't just put down a couple. Also the only way in and out of the pool is a set of PVC pipe stairs that they halfway block whenever there is a swim meet. Unlike places like Baptist Healthplex and the Y I don't see how any disabled person could do any pool work at Courthouse. (And regardless of what Courthouse's owners seem to think disabled people do use pools.) There was a second set of PVC stairs but they are broke and like the shower bench have yet to be fixed. Also, the whirlpool is not a hot tub. It is tiny, smaller than a bathtub and does not get hot at all. This gym is great for those who just want to play racketball or have a kid on the swim team or just lift weights but anyone else you can do better.
