Beware...

Please do not go to this place to straighten you hair. The lady who does the straightening exaggerates her experience and makes it seem like she is more qualified than other salons. However, she uses incredibly cheap chemicals (which I doubt is even Japanese straightening quality, it seems more like a chemical perm material) which absolutely fried the ends of my hair. After she does the straightening she attempts to cut away all the damage she did to my hair but bluntly chopping off my ends, which by the way, was a horrible cut that left my hair uneven and choppy. Of course she also recommends these hair products that actually do have some merit to them, the wax spray and keratin oil are, indeed, quite nice. After she uses the products and straightens the hair, all looks good .. but just wait a few days after you wash your hair because that was when i noticed the HORRIBLY damaged ends .. it was literally like someone took a torch and lit my ends. So now, after i wash my hair i have to take all this time to blow dry and straight iron my hair because of all the damage and frizz she caused with her crappy chemicals and lack of care for my hair.

In addition, she gave me a "complimentary" hair treatment coupon. Which, i thought was great, a free treatment. But little did i know, it was just an attempt for her to scheme money out of me .. after going back for my "complimentary" treatment i was hit with a $30 bill for a wash, blow dry, and cut that i did NOT ask for. I mean okay, so the $15 treatment was waived .. but how are you supposed to give an oil treatment without prior wash and a post blow dry??!!! I would have willingly paid the $30 if only she had told me beforehand what was actually complimentary and what wasn't. Instead, she had the gall to scream in front of all the other customers that i was going to run off without paying. Seriously, that was unnessary because i thought everything was complimentary and so i even tipped generously .. i did not need her to call me out in front of everyone like that. To add fuel to the fire, i gave her a 50 dollar bill and she only gave me 10 back. I told her I gave her 50 and expected 20 in change, but she was like "no you only gave me 40". I called her out and said that does not make any sense because I only gave you one bill, a fifty. After that she said, oh right, sorry here's your other ten. I mean seriously!!! I am absolutely horrified by not only the lack of care they took on my hair, but the complete disrespect they had for me as a customer. These people are cheats and I would seriously caution you from going there.

The hair straightener we use are major name brands and before we started your hair, we went through your hair situation. Your hair was colored and the hair straightener was nor applied on your hair ends at all. I fixed your hair ends because it needed and we wnet through that also that we will fix some of your dry ends . These dry ends were there before we strarted any hair straightener. You and your mom had very good discounts for both people and were happyly walked out. Untill 2 weeks later when you and your mom came back to the salon with the free treatment sertificates for 2 people. On the certificate, it was clearly indicated the service does not include wash and blow dry. Your mom asked for a hair cut so the price was $18 and your were just $12 for the wash and style. So the total came out to be $30 for 2 people. THe day when you came it was on a Sunday and it was very busy and I did over heard about the wrong change but we never over charge anyone. I even asked if you liked your hair and you said yes. I don't think you should write this type of reviews because you were upset over the $30 charge of 2 people. You should read the free treatment certificate does not include washs and style.

Best Japanese Magic Straight EVER!!!

Manna does the best Japanese magic straight ever! I guarentee you will love how straight your hair comes out. This was actually my second time getting it done because the first time I did it was at a different salon and it came out really bad. Manna really fixed up my hair for me. She even explained why my first magic straight didn't come out good. She was such an expert. She really knew what she was talking about and doing. And the best part is that I only paid $150 for it and my hair is really long. The first time I did it at the other salon I had to pay $250. I'm extremely happy with her work and the result. My hair is now as straight as ever. I've been telling my friends about her and now all of them are getting their hair straightened and loving it too.

Japanese Straightening by Manna

Manna is the one there that does the Japanese hair straightening. I got mine done after making an appointment first. She's highly requested and really busy so book your appointment before going. She has a website too, www.hairmanna.com so you can take a look at her work and all the other services she offers. I'm actually a regular client of Manna's. Needelss to say, I am always 100% satisfied with her work. But I recently decided to go straight and I was really shocked at how straight my hair became. It was really, really straight! It was quite amazing, but the best part is that I got it for half off the original price. I only paid $130 for a $260 job! Manna really knows me well and how to handle my hair and I trust her with everything. Even if you're going to her salon for the first time, she'll definitely treat you like you're a regular.

JAPANESE HAIR STRAIGHTENING--Don't Miss Out!!!

Not all Asian hair is created equal!!! I'm a native Chinese, and you'd expect my hair to be straight as a board, smooth, and shiny black. I, however, was born with hair that is the total opposite of typical asian hair. But going to Hair Manna completely saved my hair. If you've ever passed by Hair Manna or wanted to get japanese hair straightening you have to go to Hair Manna. I got my hair straightened there and it came out so straight and perfect that it actually kinda scared me. You should request for Manna, the woman there who does the hair straightening there. She's really, really good and knows all the ins-and-outs of hair straightening. She'll answer all your questions too. You will feel safe getting your hair straightened by her. She won't mess it up or anything. She really cares about your hair and your satisfaction. And your hair will come out straight as a board. I repeat: It will come out straight as a board. No lie. Now she's having this two for one deal where if you bring a friend the hair straightening only cost $120 for each of you. So to you, dear reader, who's reading this, if you want that super straight, shiny hair, regardless of what race or color your hair is, go to Hair Manna now!!!

Japanese Hair Straightening

My hair is naturally curly, and I'd been thinking about getting Japanese Hair Straightnening for a while. Finally I decided to get it done, so I went to several salons to get an idea of the different prices. After all the salon searching I decided on Hair Manna's. What appealed to me about Hair Manna's at first was their price. They had a special price of $100-$150, depending on your hair length. The other salons that I went to were charging up to double that price. Since I have really long hair, mine cost $150. Included in the price is a wash, cut, and styling. The whole process takes about 2 hours but it is well worth the wait. I had Manna do my hair. Manna is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to hair. That's another thing that appealed to me about her place. Manna is a real expert and professional. She told me about her beauty school days many, many years ago. She is passionate about hair and she's had more than 20 years experience in the field. Since then her experience and knowledge really shows in her work. And she keeps up with the latest trends and techniques too. I watched Manna work on her other clients as I waited for my own hair to get done. Manna's hands are like magic. They're like Edward Sissor Hands. She's fast in her cuts but still amazingly detailed and efficient. The before's and after's of her clients are amazing. I saw her do an updo and make-up for a girl's prom and she was completely transformed. She looked like Cinderella. The shampoo girls there are really good too. They're thorough in washing hair and they give great massages too. After a long or tiring day the massages are just what you need. I did notice though, that Manna is firm with her staff. But I guess it's just to ensure that they do the best quality work possible, and they definitely do.

After two hours, my hair was pin straight. And I really do mean PIN STRAIGHT! It's been more than a week since my hair straightening and I am workin' it! I can easily take showers or go into the rain and I don't have to worry about any frizz at all. My hair not only looks good but feels good too. I can't thank Manna enough! She is a miracle worker! The only thing that bummed me out was that I could have gotten it done at a cheaper price. I didn't know about it at the time but if you and your friend come together to get the hair straightening it only costs a flat rate of $120. So bring a friend, and I recommend making an appointment too because they get really busy.

Give it a try!

I have been a client of Hair Manna since its inception several years ago. I am a loyal client of the owner, Manna. In fact, she was my hairdresser before she started her own hair salon. Manna is an excellent hair cutter. She is very precise and extremely efficient. She takes her business very seriously and customer satisfaction is her top priority. The salon is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The hair washers are very thorough and give great massages. I highly recommend this salon for any hair care needs.
