Jian Zheng, MD, is a surgical oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and an assistant professor of clinical surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine.  An award-winning surgeon, Dr. Zheng was the recipient of Grant V. Rodkey Award for her scholarship, humanism, leadership, and technical excellence during her chief residency. She was awarded by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with the Chairman's Award for Excellence in Clinical Research. Dr. Zheng has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in surgical oncology in many leading journals, including Annals of Surgical Oncology, Annals of Surgery, and Journal of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of several organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.  After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Zheng earned her medical degree from University of South Florida, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Zheng served her internship and residency in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center, where she was elected to be the administrative chief resident. During residency, she also pursued hepatopancreatobiliary surgery research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Zheng then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also served as the administrative chief fellow.  Dr. Zheng is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. Her clinical practice includes patients with gastric, hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic cancers, and her interest includes the use of minimally invasive and robotic
