I thought I would give this place a try with my own hair since the barber Vinny is so good with my son's hair. Big mistake!! I wanted a perm for easy styling during the warmer months. I have very long hair so blow drying in the summer is not fun. I had an appointment with Linda, she said come anytime.



Then they called me back saying since my hair is so long I need two boxes of perm and they only had one in stock so I should buy some on my own and bring it. I purchased the exact products they told me to buy at a nearby beauty supply store. When I arrived Linda said she was too busy and wanted to refer me to one of the other hairdressers. The other hairdresser seemed hesitant and they began talking about me in Russian. Little did they know I understand Russian. Finally I was convinced to let the other hairdresser Maya do the perm.



I spent four hours at the salon getting the perm done. Once it was done it was not very curly only slightly wavy while it was still wet. There were some knots and rather than unravel them carefully she literally ripped the perm rods out of my hair. Definitely not what I wanted or expected. I showed Maya a photo of medium sized curls before we started. She used both boxes of the product. I was told that the perm would look better after I washed it and conditioned but I could not wash, style, brush or do anything with it for a full three days. I did exactly as instructed. Some parts of my hair were perfectly straight and some had a slight wave. As soon as my hair dried most of the wave disappeared. I was told to come back in to "see what they could do" after the three day period.



When I returned they told me I needed to cut my hair much shorter and in layers in order to achieve medium sized curls and this was after the fact which of course is too little too late. I was not informed of this beforehand and they had the nerve to tell me that my hair looked fine and I should be happy with it. The hairdresser told the owner I should get my money back since I was unhappy. The owner refused and just said sorry no refunds. I find this totally unacceptable. My hair looks something like a hippie and a scarecrow had a baby. It's not pretty. I want my money back and I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and telling everyone I know not to come here. '



The owner Joseph is the one who declined my refund and he had the nerve to do it with a great deal of arrogance and even with a smile on his face. He clearly was amused at himself. I will be finding a new place to get my son's haircut's as well. No offense to Vinny but I won't give a place with such an inconsiderate owner another dime of my hard earned money.
